The Stiftverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft e.V. (German Association for the Promotion of Science and Education) has once again presented HYDRIVE Engineering with the “Innovative through Research” award for 2016/2017. The award pays tribute to the company’s commitment in the areas of university research, teaching and work in associations.
From the client’s needs to innovation
Thanks to close collaboration with its clients, HYDRIVE Engineering always has its finger on the pulse. At the same time, the company keeps abreast of the latest insights from research and development. This is because HYDRIVE Engineering has recognised that machines must be designed to be functional and operational, dynamic and precise, robust and efficient. As a result, our day-to-day work focuses on the machinery and equipment of the future. This enables us to present our clients with the best solutions for their challenges. The outcome: innovative drives and controls which are tailored the requirements of the client. These high standards are also behind our state-of-the-art control algorithms.
Commitment to education
Here at HYDRIVE Engineering, it is important to us that all our employees receive excellent training. Therefore, we can meet high expectations and drive innovation forward. Along the same lines, we support our employees in understanding and following the latest developments in the area of application-orientated research.
For this reason, HYDRIVE Engineering places special importance on active involvement in education. In particular, the HYDRIVE Engineering turns its attention to university research and teaching. This prompted Managing Partner Dr Thomas Neubert and Mr Erik Lautner from to offer a lecture course at the Dresden University of Technology, amongst other activities. The lecture course is titled “Control systems, software development and safety in mobile machines”. It has been running since the 2014/2015 winter semester. We have already reported on this in our blog article “New lecture course at the Dresden University of Technology”.
In addition to this, the company is active in a number of associations. For example, HYDRIVE Engineering is member in the Fluid Power Research Fund of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation).
Honoured with Stifterverband award
The Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (German Association for the Promotion of Science and Education) has paid tribute to this commitment once again by awarding the company its “Innovative through Research” quality seal.
The Stifterverband was founded in 1920, bringing together around 3,000 members from companies of all sizes. Company associations, donors, and private individuals are also active members of the association. The association stands for the joint responsibility of German companies for a society which is viable for the future and conducive to a high quality of life. In this sense, the Stifterverband is a unique network of business, science, politics and civil society.
With its primary focus on the fields of education, science and innovation, the Stifterverband shares HYDRIVE Engineering’s stance that all three topics are inextricably linked. There is no innovation without science, and no science without education.
In response to the award, Managing Partner, Dr Thomas Neubert, commented: “We would like to thank the German Stifterverband for this award. Our company’s development demonstrates that active involvement in research is positive and important. We will continue to follow this approach in the future.”
